This is a pic of my dear friend Lea, well actually her name is Gertja, but Lea is easier to say.... Anyway I took this when she was in school at the university of Greifswald in East Germany. It was cool, I was there in '92 and was the first amerikan in the town since before WWI.

This is a pic of me at thee sign for Abby Road. Yup, while in London I did the Beatles thing. It was also the starting point for a 2 month wanderabout Europe with Anita. A dream come true for me. We did this summer '01 after Anita had lived and worked in London for 6 months. I met her there and we traveled. Most of the following pics are from that trip. Unfortunatly most of our pics were stolen along with my jacket in the Budapest bus terminal. Almost 600 of them, that was a very sad day.

This is a view from the top of the Eiffel Tower. We really were not expecting to be impressed by the tower considering that it is so overused in anything French. But I must say that it really is very hip. We went there every night of our stay in Paris to drink wine and watch the light show. I recommend that anyone in Paris check it out.

This is a view of Lisbon. Or Lisboa as it is properly called. I was there for new years 2002-2003. Great time, was on the island of Terciera in the Azors for x-mass first. Met some cool people, had some fun.

Feasting in Zanzibar

I went to Tanzania in 1999 to visit a friend in the peace corps and amoung the many places we hit was the island of Zanzibar. Each night one of the main open spaces near the water would fill up with vendors cooking food and selling in the open air the things they caught that day. I cannot begin to tell you how good it was. Except to say that I still miss it and want to go back to eat, and eat, and eat, and, well you get the idea.
